Palmer Water Supply Plant

In 2014 we were contracted by FUSCO on behalf of SA Water to undertake concrete remediation works at the Palmer Water Supply Plant, specifically Tank 3. With a diameter of 30 metres, depth of 11 metres, and 20 internal columns supporting the structure, Tank 3 had slowly suffered serious concrete deterioration overtime since its construction in the 1950’s.

The initial challenge was with the internal concrete columns as they were failing in the air zone (between the water line and the lid of the tank). With a crew of up to 6 specialist workers, the project was completed on deadline, by ensuring effective communication and real time tracking of the timeline.
