Oaklands Train Station and Rail Crossing
Client – McConnell Dowell/Bianco
Works – Concrete anti-graffiti and protective coating
The current level crossing generates congestion on busy Morphett and Diagonal Roads, with boom gates down for approximately 25 per cent of the peak traffic periods. Once completed the new crossing will improve travel times, enhance public safety, and act as a positive catalyst for development and renewal throughout the local area. The Oakland Rail Crossing project is an important component of the State Government’s Integrated Transport and Land Use Plan, which is aimed at enhancing the connections between people and places across South Australia. Our team successfully coating all pre-cast and concrete elements using NanoCoat protective coating. The end result speaks for itself with an impressive visual impact that both adds to the aesthetics of the rejuvenated environment and protects the concrete from degradation and graffiti.
