Permeation Grouting and Soil Stabilization
A common problem in both new and existing structures is soil erosion leading to undermining and destabilisation of structures. This can be a very expensive and time consuming problem to solve, and typically one that can’t be forecasted or costed. Unlike traditional under pinning techniques requiring significant excavation and propping the simple solution of injection into the soil can be a much better solution.
There are several methods Portolesi employs each of which is specific to the unique site requirements factoring soil type, compaction, load, structure, access, speed of delivery to name a few. Ultimately our experienced staff will assess the works and develop a remedy for whatever combination of factors they find.

TamCrete MFC is a microfine Portland cement for rock and soil injection. It’s superfine particle size together with the addition of TamCem Superplasticisers, giving it superior penetration into tight joints, fissures and pore spaces, thus provide a water-tight grouted rock or soil mass.
Tam GeoTek LV
Tam GeoTek LV is a low viscosity single shot polyurethane based on MDI in combination with polyether polyols and an amine based catalyst. The system only reacts when it comes into contact with water, forming a rigid polyurethane foam.
